Could CBD treat COVID-19?

New CBD Research could help treat COVID-19 patients

Though lung health experts have warned that smoking marijuana could exacerbate COVID-19 and its spread, Israeli scientists will study cannabidiol (CBD) alongside existing treatment options as a possible solution. They have launched three clinical trials into whether cannabis, specifically CBD, can play an effective role in stopping or slowing the coronavirus. Tel Aviv University, Rabin Medical Center, and Ichilov Medical Center will investigate whether CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties could lower respiratory symptoms experienced in moderate COVID-19 patients, as well as how cannabinoids can collaborate with other medicines.

This is great news, both in the effort to fight COVID-19 and for the regulatory environment surrounding CBD and other cannabinoids. Hopefully, doctors there see success in treating patients’ symptoms and generate valuable data the FDA can use in its further evaluation of cannabinoids.

BDX Update: Vertical Integration

Here at BDX, you may have heard us say that we are vertically integrated. So, what does that mean? With full chain of custody through the product lifecycle, from plant genetics and cultivation all the way to extraction and refinement, we have a unique capability to ensure the potency and quality of our products. But, how do we do it? With a fully functional in-house CBD testing lab, our analytical chemist, Lauren, checks our product’s potency at multiple checkpoints through the extraction process. Further, each shipment we send is accompanied by an authentic Certificate of Analysis produced at a DEA certified third party testing facility. We take pride in our process. We take pride in our quality. We take pride in our products. Because we know that gives our customer peace of mind.
